La série télévisée américaine se déroule une décennie avant la série originale. Star Trek série. Découverteprésentent un design unique en forme de delta divisé, avec du métal brossé sur la partie surélevée et une finition brillante sur le côté opposé.

L'insigne scientifique de couleur argentée comporte un ovale traversé par un ovale - tous deux plus ronds qu'auparavant.

Comme pour tous nos insignes de la division Starfleet, ceux pour les Découverte sont des répliques exactes des insignes d'uniforme de la série télévisée, chaque motif étant directement tiré de l'accessoire du héros utilisé à l'écran.

Ce qui différencie ces insignes portables de l'original, c'est le fermoir, qui utilise un champ solide et court. Aimants Le fermoir est composé d'une plaque d'identification à champ court, intégrée à chaque badge et à une plaque arrière brillante. Finis les trous d'épingle dans les tissus délicats.
